Terms & Conditions
By attending the Cake Social event ("Event") hosted by We Should Be Friends Vancouver in collaboration with Thumn's Dinner Club, you ("Attendee") agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
By participating in the Event, you acknowledge and accept that:
You will be consuming food (including cakes) prepared by third-party, independent bakers and home bakers.
We Should Be Friends Vancouver and Thumn's Dinner Club do not guarantee or verify the ingredients, preparation processes, or allergen information of these cakes.
You accept full responsibility for any allergies, intolerances, dietary needs, or adverse reactions you may have as a result of consuming any food at the Event.
You release and hold harmless We Should Be Friends Vancouver, Thumn's Dinner Club, and all affiliated parties from any and all liability for illness, injury, loss, or damages resulting from participation in the Event.
2. Photography & Media Release
By attending the Event, you understand and agree that:
Photos and videos will be taken during the Event for marketing, promotional, and archival purposes.
Your image and likeness may appear in these materials, including on social media, and websites
If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify an event organizer at the start of the event.
3. Ticket Policy & Refunds
All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued for cancellations, no-shows, or dissatisfaction with the Event.
If the Event is postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, your ticket may be transferred to a rescheduled date or refunded at the sole discretion of the organizers.
4. Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to waive, release, and discharge We Should Be Friends Vancouver, Thumn's Dinner Club, their organizers, volunteers, affiliates, and partners from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with your attendance or participation in the Event.
This includes, but is not limited to, claims for:
Food-related illness or injury
Property loss or damage
Personal injury
Exposure to allergens or unsafe food handling
5. Acknowledgment of Terms
By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the Event, you confirm that you:
Have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Are attending voluntarily and at your own risk.
Are at least 18 years of age, or attending with a parent or legal guardian who also agrees to these terms.
