If you go as far west as you can go on Vancouver Island, you’ll find the magical, rugged town of Tofino, BC.
Tofino begs you to slow down and connect with the natural world around you — whether that’s by playing in the cold waves, hiking through the coastal rainforests, or lying on the beach under a canopy of stars.
Tofino is all about doing less and experiencing more, just by being present.
what to expect:
As an avid traveler, I’ve always found travel to be a microwave for building friendships & community.
This trip will be an opportunity to spend quality time with strangers who will hopefully become friends - while enjoying all that Tofino has to offer.
The trip will be led by an experienced guide from Way Out West Charters & Tours, so you won’t have to worry about a thing.
By night, we’ll gather around a campfire and sleep beneath the stars in the heart of Pacific Rim National Park’s coastal rainforest, just a short walk from the beach.
By day, the adventure is yours to shape: take a surf lesson, wander lush hiking trails, head out on a whale watching tour, or simply relax on the beach and take it all in.
What’s included:
Transportation to and from Tofino with a dedicated Driver Guide
Ferry fees
Two nights at Green Point Campground at Long Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park
Camping-style continental breakfast
Guided activities & adventures to give you a true taste of Tofino
What’s not included:
Tent, sleeping bag, & self-inflating mattress (Available for rent for $49)
Meals other than breakfast (we will make a grocery stop in Tofino)
Additional activities (surf lessons, whale/bear watching tours, hot springs tours)
$499/person - Adult Shared Tent
You:
You don’t have a tent partner yet, and you’re fine to share a tent pad.
Your situation:
You will most likely lodge in a large tent. You will have a separate room in the tent to yourself and another guest will occupy the other half of the tent. The tent is separated with a curtain-like divider inside and has separate entrances. (See photo of large tent).
If we don't find a tent partner, then you will use a small tent on your own.
Prices
$475/person - Groups of 2 in one tent
You:
You already have a tent partner.
Your situation:
You will share a tent with the person of your choice.
If you choose to rent our equipment, you will either receive a 2-person tent on your own tent pad, or you will share one side of the large 4-person tent. (See photos below.)
Note: If you book on separate bookings, please let us know your tent partner’s name in the booking process.
$459/person - Group of 3 in one tent
$449/person - Group of 4 in one tent
You:
You are part of a group of 3-4 travelers and want to share a tent.
Your situation:
You will share a tent pad with your group.
If you choose to rent our equipment, you will either receive two 2-person tents for adjacent tent pads, or you will share one large 4-person tent. (See photos below.)
Note: If you book on separate bookings, please let us know your tent partner’s name in the booking process.
$689/person - Adult Private Tent & Pad
You:
You want your own tent AND tent pad.
Your situation:
You will have your own tent & tent pad. The next tent will be at least 5 meters away.
If you choose to rent our equipment, you will be provided your own small tent (see photo below).

Up to 40 days prior to your scheduled tour departure booked multi-day tours are fully refundable.
Within 39 days prior to your scheduled tour departure, your tour is non-refundable and non-transferable.
