Here’s how it works:
Purchase your spot. Make sure your email is correct when checking out, because this is the email the intake form will be sent to!
After securing your spot, you will be sent an email with a link to an intake form.
AGAIN - IF YOUR EMAIL IS NOT CORRECT WHEN CHECKING OUT, YOU WON’T RECEIVE THE FORM.
Fill out the intake form immediately.
(If you don’t fill it out, you won’t be added to a group!)
Wait while we put you into groups! (Approx. 2 weeks)
About 2 weeks after signup closes, you’ll receive an email with the list of your other group members, and some suggested books & meeting places.
Meet with your group! When, where, & how often you meet up is up to you.

Book Club FAQs
How often do the groups meet?
That’s up to you! Meeting once a month seems to have worked for groups in the past.
2. Are the groups mixed-gender?
All groups have the possibility of being mixed-gender, but there tends to be more women than men who sign up, so it is not guaranteed that every group will be mixed-gendered. If you would like to be in a group with other LGBTQIA+ people please note that in the form (I’ll do my best but can’t guarantee!)
3. What is the $10 for?
This helps ensure that the people who sign up are committed to the group and don’t flake, and covers the time and administration costs it takes to create these groups.
4. Do the groups meet virtually or in person?
In person! If your group decides to go virtual that’s up to you, but I encourage you to be in-person to build real connections.
5. How do you divide the groups?
Groups are created primarily based on age, availability, and location. I cannot promise that you will be put in a group in your neighborhood, but I will do my best! If you prefer to be in a group with people in your neighborhood and don’t care about being with people your own age, please note that in the “anything else” section of the Google form.
6. Who chooses what books we read?
You will choose as a group which books you want to read. I will suggest a few, but I encourage you to switch it up to accommodate everyone’s tastes.

By joining the We Should Be Friends Book Club, you agree to the following:
Respect & Inclusivity
All members must treat each other with respect and dignity, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, identity, religion, political beliefs, or any other personal characteristics.
Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in immediate removal from the group and a permanent ban from future We Should Be Friends events.
2. Responsibility for Registration
It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete contact information when registering.
All required steps, including completing the provided Google form, must be followed. We Should Be Friends is not responsible for adding members to groups or issuing refunds if incorrect or incomplete information is provided.
3. Success of the Group
While we do our best to create meaningful connections, We Should Be Friends cannot guarantee that book club groups will meet or work out, and we are not responsible for reassigning members or accommodating group change requests.
